GIVE Peace the Center Chair

Femininematerz photo

It is the International Peace Day every 21st of September.

When there is conflict women and children are the most vulnerable. Women are exposed to physical assault, rape and abuse. They struggle to watch over their children ; they go hungry while giving their babies and children the little food they can get.

When there is conflict children suffer malnutrition and are exposed to so much inhumane sights. They are out of school and loose time. Their education and future dreams suffer a huge set back.

When there is conflict men are out fighting and defending. Many families loose their men in conflicts living women to struggle with taking care of family members.

No one really wins a war for each side of the waring party suffer great loss. Rebuilding takes time and things will never be the same again.

Give dialogue a chance; Give peace the center chair.

Coming Through…

My Tuesday Trickles(Inspired by  Jacqueline) for this week:
Sometimes you find yourself at a point where nothing seems to be working.
Sometimes it feels like a tight corner
Sometimes it feels like you are at a cross road
Sometimes the world seems to be on top of you
Sometimes the load you carry is heavier than you thought it would be.

god-will-make-a-wayHere is a song especially for you written and song by Don Moen: Just an excerpt of the lyrics
God will make a way where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we can not see
He will make a way for you
He will be your guide, hold you closely to his side
with love and strength for each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way

So breath, You are coming through…

You can listen to the full song with just a click above

What are you WAITING…For?

Waiting…                           WAITING PIX
Waiting can be tough
Waiting is never easy
You can’t have everything you want when you want it
You have to learn to wait
Learn to be patient

Everything comes at its own time
Just because you do not have it today doesn’t mean life has to stop

Keep doing what you can with what you have
Use the time you can have to do what you can
It will not always remain so
You will not always have to do without
Every waiting has an end
Patience does bring a rewarding reward

Thoughts and Life #8 – Life is a Cycle

Kids playing
Grandma laughing delightfully
Grandpa smiling and joins the fun

The old white brow remembers when the house was boisterous
Children have left and the nest is empty.
The wrinkled hands remembers so much more
The shaky hands are happy to hug the little ones
They are the fruits from those who left the nest earlier

Life is much simpler now
Things that use to matter no longer do
Life becomes all about little things that bring joy

Once young but now old
Life is now full of memories
Enjoy everyday of your life because you are going to come full cycle.

Looking out the Window…Stepping Out

Welcome to a brand new Friday! Here is peep into my work neighborhood. I was looking out the window early this morning trying to drink in some silence and meditate before my colleagues arrived. While admiring the trees on the outside it occurred to me that the window burglary bars hindered a clear view. Neighbourhood pix 2

When i then decided to go outside i had clearer view and it was   beautiful. Neighbourhood pix 1

Isn’t it funny how we can all be looking at the same thing but have different perspective to it depending on the angle each person is viewing it from.

So my thoughts on this flowed into a poem:

The view from the window feels safe
But the other side looks beautiful…inviting
What dangers lurk around the corner outside?
I want to have a better view, but it would mean stepping out
Should i, should i not?

It feels safe inside but i want to see more
I summoned courage and rose to my feet
I took few steps and out the door i walked
It was a beautiful view…clearer and cleaner
I could dance around enjoying the breeze

I began to see the world from a different perspective
I began to discover new things
It ushered in a new kind of freedom
It ushered in new possibilities
A view from the window was my starting point
Happy that i stepped out …so rewarding!

Lesson: Don’t let your life just roll by…step outside your comfort zone and discover great things you could achieve with your life.
You don’t have to have all the answers at the beginning, just step out.

Do have a great Friday!
